Gillingham F.C record massive loss

Chairman Paul Scally

THE man at the centre of it all again is chairman Paul Scally as Gillingham F.C. report a loss of nearly £500,000.

The account for the year ending May 31 2010 recorded a loss of £463,000.

The club who are still being loaned out by the Bank of Scotland have a net debt of over £3m.

Outrage among fans have come in the light that Scally's wife appeared in the account building up an expense of nearly £20,000 for her consultancy services.

One fan, Ashley Watson, 19, shared ongoing disappointment: "Ever since I've supported the Gills, ongoing problems have occurred with Scally and the finance of the club. Get him out!"

The club remain an "ongoing concern" with the bank overdraft being secured against them, with the overdraft having the option to be recalled at any time on an informal basis.
